For the third time, Miuccia Prada involves us in his experimental search aiming at binding art, mode, design and new technologies. Putting in prospect collection A/H 08/09 for Prada, the very last short film of the mark takes us along in a surrealist dream sum of money cry…
By incarnating the Genesis version manga fashion, “Trembled Blossoms” had charmed and subjugated the sphere mode. Such a poetry put at the service of the ready-made clothes sliced thus with the usual campaigns of advertizing, while the launching of the last juice of the house (“Infusion of Man”) very gave to birth to some cinematographic tests avant-gardists.
Vis-a-vis the success of these tests out-standard, Miuccia Prada decided to take again its work, in order to offer new a opus to us what seems the spearhead of cartoon films intended for the universe of clothing. The acidulous and oneiric decoration of the former season thus leaves the place to a setting in scene much darker. Inspired by works of Dali, Bunuel, Duchamp and Escher, the atmosphere emanating of these a few minutes of film oscillates between Italian drama, fantastic intrigue and black film.
However, if the unit is one cannot more romantic, that did not prevent the team of realization from using state-of-the-art technologies to carry it out, of which Cyber Scanning. This technique allows scanner an human body in 3 dimensions, in order to compose the most realistic possible image. Directed by James Lima, “Fallen Shadows” tells the history of a woman and her shade. The latter, incarnating her subconscious, escapes throughout the day, becoming finally much more real than her mistress… Accompanied by a band composed by very snuffed Antony Hegarty, this short film – where the artistic experimentation mixes with the development with the strong points with the Prada collection – is a true moment of exception…
