A face placid, even absent: such is the standard to ravel on a catwalk… This is why, when at a few days of intervals certain podiums decide to pass in mode “smile”, we can only be agreeably surprised…
In addition to a special occasion (the such birthday of the Rykiel house, where the models had as instructions to irradiate happiness), it is very rare that the pouts of the mannequins derogate from the traditional impenetrable mask… It should be said that the exercise of the “happy face” is somewhat risky. Indeed, each mannequin not being equipped with a talent of actress, to hold a mine delighted throughout a passage is not inevitably easy matter to achieve.
Moreover, if it is easy to control the overall picture of an army of girls to the closed faces, it is differently more random to create a harmony between various enjoués little faces: some will burst of laughing spontaneously, while others will hardly manage to take down a contracted smile, and that some will post teeth ultra bright, inordinately exposed… One thus includes/understands easily why one requires Coconut Rocha, Catherine McNeil & Co a neutral attitude, almost haughty, much more capable to focus the attention on clothing than any other fuss, so merry is it.
However, if this kind of style is appropriate extremely well for the winter presentations, the estival collections – fleurant good the pastoral escapes – have the air somewhat shifted when the signals prove too sinister. This is why, with the risk to transform their show into a merry farandole of young girls in flower, Diane Von Furstenberg, Anna Sui and Renzo Rosso more or less frankly incited their models to post good mood, love of life and relaxation during their appearances on the podium.
The result was refreshing, though one nothing diverting: indeed, to observe a long string of gazelles smiling in the vacuum did not pass yet in manners… One however greets this initiative, which has the merit to incredibly insufflate one ounce of accessibility to these beauties longilignes.
To conclude this fashion week – and before deciphering the tendencies of them – it is in our opinion necessary to note that in emanating spite of the declarations of the various organizations of organizations of the processions, the mannequins never seem to have been also fragile physically (see here and there)…
